Stories
That Move and Sing is an active storytelling
program,
led by Julia Morris, for children, teachers, and parents which integrates creative movement, drama, and music. The three tools of
active arts engagement, the body, voice, and imagination are
awakened, bringing literature alive and fostering early language
and learning. |
THE
PROGRAM
|
We
need to discover an arts
literacy —
what it means to be literate in sign systems like the dramatic. |
| Children
from Preschool to 6th Grade —
Residencies and
performances which foster oral and kinesthetic language expression
and build literacy skills based on the New York State Standards in
Language Arts. |
